1. An A7 is the most common size for Wedding Invitations. 2. An A1 is the most common size for your rsvp. 3. While an RSVP postcard is definitely super cool - it can often be more expensive than a standard A1 and envelope because a postcard usually requires printing on both sides. 4. Can you switch up sizes for something more outside the norm... ABSOLUTELY. Just be sure to consider envelope size restrictions. 5. Accompanying cards can come in any size you want. It all depends on how much info you want to fit.

This is Katie Evans. She's the newest member to the shop. Her internship started a week or two ago and things have been going quite well. You may have seen her on youtube? She's managed to make her way into one of our videos posted under our account "LETTERPRESSfilms." In her video (below) she is pictured carving a linoleum block for printing on the proof press. Her carving skillz are wicked good. Katie has a lot of enthusiasm and a great attitude. We're sure she can bring a lot to the shop as we expand into the graphic design market. Greetings all you charming letterpress people. Dick and Jane celebrated this 4th of July with the community of Saint Anthony Park. Each year local business owners and the neighborhood come together to celebrate Independence Day with a parade and good old fashioned fun. We rolled a proof press out onto the street and printed up free letterpress posters with the folks from the neighborhood. The image above shows a final print now hanging in the shop. Over the holiday we captured some videos documenting letterpress printing and our community. Check it out!

(above) Captured in this video is Katie Evans at Dick and Jane Letterpress. Katie is cutting down a big block of linoleum for the proof printing poster project for 4th of July, 2009! The posters will be printed on the recently refurbished Challenge proof press. It's a little bit of a departure from our regular letterpress wedding invitation printing but overall, it's good fun for the kids.

Here's our first installment in many more letterpress shorts to come! Today we are printing a few St Anthony Park greeting cards. Black ink on good old kraft card stock. Greetings all!

With the change in weather and the ramp up to the wedding season, we're making a push to get the website updated as quickly as possible! We've noticed that the most popular pages on our site are our Gallery, Wedding Collections and of course, Pricing. Some of the things we're currently updating include the gallery and the shopping cart. A couple other items on the list for build-out include our Flickr page and of course our Blog.

Have you had something printed by Dick and Jane Letterpress recently? If so, you wedding invitiations may be posted to the updated gallery! We've collected a completely new folder of images all taken over the last couple months from recent work. Projects include coasters, record jackets, wedding invitations, save-the-dates, stationary and all kinds of other printed goodies. As mentioned above, we are updating the online shop.

Maybe you noticed a design you liked but you're just in the price shopping phase right now. No problem! We're creating a customized quote request form which asks ALL the important questions.
